Metaverse 'Twin Korea' New Town Subscription... "Sold Out in 30 Minutes in Bundang and Pangyo Areas"
Food Tech 'Siksin' Launches Metaverse Platform
Online Points Usable at Real Restaurants
Users Develop Virtual Spaces... Cell Value Increases
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Food tech company Siksin announced on the 18th that the subscription for the metropolitan area new towns in the real-space metaverse 'Twin Korea,' launched by Siksin, was sold out successfully.
Twin Korea is a platform that implements real-world areas as individual cells within a spatial metaverse platform. Users can use restaurants and stores located at the corresponding physical locations online, accumulate points, and use them at the actual restaurants.
This new town subscription consisted of new towns in ▲Pangyo and Bundang in Seongnam City ▲Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province ▲Gwanggyo in Suwon City ▲Hanam City ▲Suji, Jukjeon, Bojeong in Yongin City ▲Dongtan in Hwaseong City ▲Songdo, Cheongna in Incheon City ▲Ilsan in Goyang City ▲Pyeongchon in Anyang City ▲Byeollae in Namyangju City ▲Guri City. The areas were divided into cells of 10,000㎡ (about 3,000 pyeong) units and sold by commercial district categories.
The first areas to sell out were Bundang and Pangyo. The main areas of Bundang and Pangyo were sold out about 30 minutes after the subscription opened. Other popular areas were Gwanggyo, Gwacheon, and Hanam-Misa New Town in that order.
If you missed the subscription opportunity, you can also apply for the waiting list. Later, during the actual sale period for pre-subscribers, if there is a cancellation of subscription (payment of subscription fee), priority will be given to waiting applicants.
Twin Korea attracted attention with a differentiated direction from other metaverse platforms. When you become a cell owner in Twin Korea, you receive not only the cell you subscribed to but also a certain portion of all profits generated within the commercial district where your cell is located. Additionally, you can actively develop various virtual spaces such as shopping malls, exhibition halls, and play areas within the cell to increase the cell's value.
