IMAX Blockbuster Returns to Theaters... 'Dune' Re-releases on February 9
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi film 'Dune' is returning to theaters.
On the 18th, Warner Bros. Korea announced, "'Dune' will be re-released on the 9th of next month at 17 CGV IMAX locations nationwide (Gwanggyo, Gwangju Terminal, Daejeon, Seomyeon, Sopung, Suwon, Wangsimni, Yongsan I'Park Mall, Ulsan Samsan, Uijeongbu, Incheon, Ilsan, Jeonju Hyoja, Changwon The City, Cheonho, Chuncheon, Pangyo)."
Released last October, 'Dune' was the first film shot with the IMAX-certified digital Arri LF camera, featuring a full screen with an expanded 1.43:1 aspect ratio in width and height for over an hour, which led audiences to watch it in IMAX theaters.
'Dune' depicts the epic war over the desert planet Arrakis, the universe's most precious resource production site, and the great journey of the legendary messiah Paul. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film stars Timoth?e Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac.
