A Man in His 50s Arrested for Blocking Railroad Crossing While Drunk Driving
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] A man in his 50s was arrested by the police on suspicion of blocking a railroad crossing in downtown Seoul while driving under the influence.
According to the police on the 18th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul booked a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) the previous day.
Mr. A is suspected of blocking the railroad crossing tracks in Seobinggo-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with his vehicle at 10:06 p.m. the previous day. He was in a state of severe intoxication, at a level warranting license cancellation.
Korea Railroad Corporation called a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the tracks and resumed train operations. However, it is reported that train operations in both directions were delayed for about 20 minutes during this process.
