Sejong-si, Special Monitoring of Environmentally Vulnerable Areas Including Industrial Complexes
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 17th that it will conduct special monitoring activities targeting environmentally vulnerable areas such as industrial complexes and factories within the city from the 19th of this month to the 2nd of next month.
During this period, the city will strengthen focused monitoring and patrols of facilities that discharge environmental pollutants and establish and operate a control room to prepare for environmental pollution accidents.
First, from the 19th to the 28th, the city will conduct prior guidance and intensive patrols of 30 key monitoring target facilities, including those that discharge large amounts of environmental pollutants.
Then, from the 29th to the 2nd, the city will carry out monitoring activities and operate the control room for environmental pollution accident preparedness at seven major small streams near pollution-prone areas such as industrial complexes and factory zones, including Jocheon and Miho streams, according to the city’s explanation.
