View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 16th that it is recruiting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the 'Materials, Parts, and Equipment Strategic Cooperation Technology Development Project.'
The 'Materials, Parts, and Equipment Strategic Cooperation Technology Development Project' is a program designed to promote innovative technology development of related SMEs in collaboration with universities and research institutes that possess technology, infrastructure, and personnel in the materials, parts, and equipment sectors.
Through this announcement, the Ministry plans to select 10 SMEs to participate in the first phase, 'Joint Planning of Technology Development (R&D).' Selected companies will receive up to 15 million KRW in support for up to 1.5 months. They will plan technology development jointly with the operating institution to apply for the second phase (joint R&D execution).
Upon completion of the R&D joint planning project, after evaluation, seven projects with excellent technological merit will be finally selected as joint R&D execution projects and receive up to 800 million KRW in technology development funds for up to two years. Applications for the project are accepted from the 31st until February 7th.
