Gyeongnam Office of Education, 2022 Assignment of Successful Candidates to General High Schools in Equalization Areas
Preliminary Assembly by School on January 17, Registration Deadline January 19
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Saerom] The Gyeongnam Office of Education announced the school assignments for 12,177 successful applicants from five equalization districts on the 14th through its homepage.
The assignment is conducted randomly after dividing the successful applicants into male and female groups and then into nine grades.
Until the third lottery, assignments are made according to the quota for each school grade, and from the fourth lottery, it is conducted for schools with unfilled quotas.
Students who have completed the assignment must register at the assigned school by Monday the 17th to receive enrollment guidance and must complete registration by Wednesday the 19th.
If not registered, admission will be canceled, and high school admission will not be possible in the 2022 academic year.
The additional recruitment period runs from Wednesday the 12th to Monday the 17th, currently ongoing in District 1 Guchangwon and District 5 Geoje.

Hong Jeonghee, Director of Career Education, said, “The admission process in equalization areas is conducted transparently and fairly throughout all stages,” and added, “The Gyeongnam Office of Education will make multifaceted efforts to improve long-distance commuting issues and reduce disparities between schools.”
