AI+x refers to a combined system that integrates AI technology into all industrial sectors. Since last year, Polytechnic University has been providing AI education to all enrolled students, and the pace of nurturing AI talent is expected to accelerate.
The opening ceremony held on the 13th was attended by Cho Jaehee, Chairman of Polytechnic, Ryu Kyunghee, Director of the Vocational Competency Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Jung Hyungwoo, Secretary General of the Labor-Management Development Foundation, and Lee Sooyoung, Dean of the Jeongsu Campus of Polytechnic University.
The Artificial Intelligence Application Development Center and the Creative Convergence Technology Center at the Jeongsu Campus Learning Factory are the 49th and 50th facilities, respectively, among the 59 Learning Factories operated by Polytechnic University.
The Artificial Intelligence Application Development Center is an "AI Boost Camp" where participants can experience data collection, analysis, and more based on cloud technology. The AI Boost Camp is an educational institution that primarily trains non-majors to become software developers by intensively teaching coding knowledge in a short period. Students can practice using equipment such as the AI Integrated Control System and Big Data Visualization Practice System. They can process related data stored on a real-time big data server to implement various services. Enrolled students and companies can also practice the entire AI technology convergence education process using the cloud.
At the Creative Convergence Technology Center, all processes including mechanical design, processing, and design technology for product manufacturing can be practiced in a convergent manner. Virtual Reality (VR) processing practice equipment and AI control devices are installed. It provides students with opportunities to understand the entire process from product design to completion and to acquire skills in process convergence technology and management.
The Seoul Poly Studio (Shared Studio) will be open to external entities such as private training institutions. It supports media creation activities, content production, and online education support for non-Polytechnic students as well. Through this, it plans to activate remote vocational education and training and strengthen digital workforce development functions.
