Yongin City to Recruit 2,000 Volunteers for Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 2,000 volunteers for this year's 'Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival.'
The Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival consists of four events held in Yongin City: ▲The 68th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival (April 14-16) ▲The 12th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival (April 28-30) ▲The 2022 Gyeonggi-do Disabled Life Sports Festival (October 7-8) ▲The 33rd Gyeonggi-do Life Sports Festival (October 28-31).
The volunteers being recruited this time will participate in the '68th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival' held from April 14 to 16 and the '12th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival' held from April 28 to 30.
Eligibility to apply is open to all Korean citizens aged 18 or older (for table tennis and badminton events at the 12th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival, applicants aged 14 or older can participate).
The recruitment fields include ▲general guidance ▲opening and closing ceremony guidance ▲competition support ▲event and goods distribution support ▲environmental maintenance inspection and confirmation ▲traffic control and parking guidance support.
Applications must be submitted by the 15th of next month. After registering on the 1365 Volunteer Portal, applicants should download the application form from the Yongin City Volunteer Center website's notice section, complete it, and submit it via email or fax to the Yongin City Volunteer Center.

A city official stated, "We hope for the interest and participation of all Korean citizens who love sports and are interested in the Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival," adding, "We will do our best to create an event that both Yongin citizens and Gyeonggi residents can enjoy."
