In November, Dong-Eui University conducted a Korean language writing contest for foreign students as part of the Ministry of Education’s University Innovation Support Project.
The contest was divided into themes: △COVID-19 and My Study Abroad Life △My Korean Cultural Experience (movies, dramas, travel, etc.).
After judging, a total of 16 people were awarded. In the ‘COVID-19 and My Study Abroad Life’ category, Yu Winwin (China), a graduate student in the Storytelling Department, received the grand prize and a scholarship of 700,000 KRW.
In the ‘My Korean Cultural Experience’ category, Nguyen Thanh Viet Linh (Vietnam), from the Department of Physical Therapy, received the grand prize and a scholarship of 700,000 KRW.
The excellence award and a scholarship of 600,000 KRW were given to Som Nirin (Cambodia), majoring in Mechanical Engineering, and Chek Khamchai (Cambodia), majoring in Trade.
Yu Winwin said, “Thanks to a safe and stable life, I have seen myself growing, and my study abroad life is getting better and better due to various experiences in Korea.”
