The Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 13th that the Memorial Park will be temporarily closed during the Lunar New Year holiday period to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Before the temporary closure, the Forest Welfare Institute plans to minimize inconvenience to visitors by operating a biweekly pre-visitation period by memorial zones from the 10th to the 28th of this month.
In addition, the e-Sky Information Funeral Service system will provide online memorial services (cyber memorial hall), and limited use will be allowed for funeral customers during the temporary facility closure period.
A separate memorial tree inspection service (such as text message service) will also be provided for bereaved families who cannot visit the Memorial Park during the Lunar New Year holiday. The inspection will comprehensively cover the growth and weeding status of memorial trees, as well as flower offerings and photo/video feedback services.
Further details regarding the temporary facility closure can be found on the National Sky Forest Memorial Park website, and inquiries can be made through the Memorial Park management office.
