Korean Version of 'Don’t Look Up'? Ahn Eun-jin and Yoo Ah-in Cast in 'Jongmal-ui Babo'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The Korean version of 'Don’t Look Up,' titled 'Fools of the End,' is being produced.
On the 13th, Netflix announced that actors Ahn Eun-jin, Yoo Ah-in, Jeon Sung-woo, and Kim Yoon-hye have been cast in 'Fools of the End.'
'Fools of the End' is a Netflix series depicting a world thrown into chaos 200 days before an asteroid collides with Earth, and the stories of people living through the remaining time. It is produced by director Kim Jin-min of 'Extracurricular' and 'My Name,' and writer Jung Sung-joo of 'Secret Affair.'
Ahn Eun-jin plays Se-gyeong, who was once a middle school technology and home economics teacher but, after the asteroid crisis began, volunteers at the Children and Youth Department of Ungcheon City Hall, secretly struggling to protect children in danger.
Yoo Ah-in portrays Ha Yoon-sang, Se-gyeong’s longtime lover and a researcher at a biotechnology institute, who rushes from safe America to the dangerous area of South Korea to stay by Se-gyeong’s side.
Following the disappearance of the chief priest after the asteroid crisis was announced, Jeon Sung-woo was cast as Woo Seong-jae, who suddenly becomes the assistant priest, calming the confused minds amid various rumors and caring for the congregation.
Kim Yoon-hye plays Kang In-ah, a company commander of the Combat Support Battalion, who roams the ruins of Ungcheon City to maintain supply transport and public order.
