[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun announced on the 12th that it is accepting applications for the ‘2022 Forest Income Support Project’ until the 28th.
The Forest Income Support Project is promoted to establish a stable production and distribution system for forest products, create stable income for forestry workers, and enhance forestry competitiveness.
The support areas are divided into five fields: forest crop production complex creation, forest product production infrastructure establishment, forest product distribution infrastructure establishment, eco-friendly forest product cultivation management, and forest product commercialization support.
Support is provided for new and supplementary work roads, ornamental forest plant greenhouses, shiitake cultivation facilities, cold storage for forest products, and forest product production equipment.
Eligible recipients are forestry workers, forestry successors, independent foresters, new knowledge farmers (in the forestry field), and producer groups who cultivate supported forest product income items.
From this year, the county plans to strengthen the selection process of recipients through on-site inspections and review meetings according to the revised project guidelines.
Unqualified applicants, duplicate applicants, and business plans that do not comply with the guidelines will be excluded.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the industry team at the administrative welfare center of the relevant eup/myeon with the application form and supporting documents.
A county official said, “We hope the Forest Income Support Project will help forestry workers who are experiencing many difficulties due to COVID-19 and abnormal weather conditions and other natural disasters,” adding, “We will do our best to stabilize and increase the income of forestry workers through the production of eco-friendly, high-quality forest products.”
