Gwangju Nam-gu Council Holds 282nd Extraordinary Session... Ordinances Supporting Daily Recovery, etc.

On the 11th, the Nam-gu Council officially began its schedule with a 5-minute speech by Councilor Ha Jua at the 1st plenary session.
Councilor Ha proposed the "Development of Nam-gu Disabled Sports Professional Team" to give dreams and hope to people with disabilities. Following this, the councilors received an overview of the "Major Work Plans for This Year" from the district mayor.
From the 12th, the Nam-gu Council will receive reports on major work plans from each department by standing committees and proceed with the review of ordinances and regulations amendments.
In particular, during this extraordinary session, Councilor Oh Young-soon (Chairperson of the Planning and General Affairs Committee) will review the "Ordinance to Support Survival Swimming Education for Elementary School Students in Nam-gu."
If this ordinance is enacted, elementary school students in Nam-gu will be given priority access to Nam-gu's sports facilities and receive necessary expenses support within the budget.
On the 19th, the 2nd plenary session will be held to review and approve the agenda items and then adjourn.
