Gwangju Seo-gu to Accept Applications for 'Daily Recovery Support Fund' Starting from the 17th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 11th that it will start accepting applications for the ‘Daily Recovery Support Fund,’ which provides 100,000 KRW per citizen of Gwangju, starting from the 17th.
The recipients are residents registered in Gwangju as of December 1 of last year, registered foreigners, and overseas Koreans with foreign nationality. In Seo-gu, 293,392 people are eligible.
In particular, newborns are also eligible if either the father or mother meets the criteria as of the reference date, and applications are possible if the birth is reported or a birth certificate is submitted within the application period.
Seo-gu completed payments to 16,528 basic livelihood security recipients on the 7th, and from the 17th, it will accept applications for credit/debit card charging and prepaid Win-Win Card issuance.
Card charging can be done online through the website until the 18th of next month, and Win-Win Card applications can be submitted by visiting the administrative welfare center of the resident’s address as of the payment reference date until the 28th of next month.
To avoid congestion during the first week of application acceptance, from the 17th to the 21st, a five-day rotation system based on the last digit of the birth year will be implemented both online and offline.
A Seo-gu official said, “We hope this can provide some comfort to citizens who are exhausted and help revive the local economy suffering from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.”
