Year-End Tax Settlement with Naver Certificate
This year’s year-end tax settlement can utilize the Naver Certificate.
On the 11th, Naver announced that it has applied the Naver Certificate to the National Tax Service’s simplified year-end tax settlement service, which runs from the 15th of this month to the 3rd of next month. It is available on the Hometax website and the Sontax mobile application (app). After identity verification with the Naver Certificate, users can apply for consent to provide data and use the simplified year-end tax settlement services such as viewing simplified data.
Naver is also holding an event where users who first issued the Naver Certificate by the 14th and users who log in to Hometax with the Naver Certificate during the year-end tax settlement period will each receive PayPoint rewards ranging from 100 won to 1 million won.
The Naver Certificate currently has 27 million users and over 200 affiliated partners. In September last year, it obtained the ‘Electronic Signature Business Operator Recognition’ required for service stability and security. Since October last year, it has been applied to the simple authentication service for 55 government and public institution sites including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the National Health Insurance Service, and Government24. Besides the National Tax Service Hometax, the Naver Certificate is also used in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Seoul City local tax internet payment systems (Witax, Etax). Naver is expanding its partnerships by collaborating with businesses in various fields such as finance, public institutions, education, and telecommunications. It has also established an authentication ecosystem with platforms like Cheongyak Home, Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation, Yonsei University, KT, and the unmanned convenience store Emart24.
