New COVID-19 Cases at 6 PM: 2,488 Confirmed, 147 More Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] On the 10th, COVID-19 cases were reported across the country.
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, from midnight to 6 p.m. on the same day, a total of 2,488 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded across 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
This is 147 more than the 2,341 cases recorded during the same time frame the previous day. It is also 250 more than the 2,238 cases recorded at 6 p.m. one week ago on the 3rd.
The number of new confirmed cases has been slightly decreasing since late last month. The daily new confirmed cases recorded over the past week were 3,022 → 4,441 → 4,125 → 3,713 → 3,510 → 3,373 → 3,007, averaging 3,599 cases per day.
Among the confirmed cases, 1,664 (66.7%) were from the Seoul metropolitan area, and 824 (33.1%) were confirmed in non-metropolitan areas.

By city and province, the numbers were as follows: Gyeonggi 905, Seoul 619, Gwangju 156, Incheon 140, Busan 104. Other cases included Chungnam 87, Gangwon 80, Gyeongnam 77, Daegu 65, Jeonnam 64, Gyeongbuk 59, Jeonbuk 45, Chungbuk 36, Daejeon 21, Jeju 13, Sejong 10, and Ulsan 7.
