The signing ceremony held at the city hall business room was attended by Mayor Lee Yongseop, EBS President Kim Myungjoong, and other officials.
This agreement is part of Gwangju City’s initiative to create Fun-City Gwangju, utilizing EBS’s intellectual property (IP) to establish ▲a character theme park ▲EBS Edutech library services for nurturing future talents ▲realization of educational welfare ▲mutual cooperation for the development of both organizations and other agreed matters.
Through this agreement with EBS, Gwangju plans to invest a budget of 45 billion KRW to create an exciting and fun fantasy character land that combines advanced technology and character content.
The site for the theme park is expected to be considered among spaces such as the Gwangju Design Center and Ssangam Park.
Through this agreement, 22 IP characters owned by EBS will be utilized, and combined with advanced technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), VR, 4D, smart technology, and media art technology, which Gwangju City is focusing on fostering, to add scalability and develop the park more interestingly.
Once completed, the theme park is expected to become a tourist attraction in Gwangju filled with sights and activities that the whole family can enjoy together in a fun and exciting fantasy world.
Additionally, using EBS edutech content, a play-based educational content service center based on ICT technologies such as VR and AR will be established to nurture future talents.
