View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The PyeongChang International Peace Film Festival Secretariat is calling for submissions for the 4th edition of the 'PyeongChang International Peace Film Festival (PIPFF)'.
On the 10th, the festival secretariat announced, "We are accepting films on the theme of 'peace,' including issues such as inequality against socially vulnerable groups, race, gender, class, ethnicity, nationality, and the division between North and South Korea, until March 21."
The province plans to create an international exchange platform through all formats of works, including feature films, documentaries, experimental films, and animations.
The feature film category includes 'International Feature Competition' and 'Non-Competition' sections for domestic and international works with a running time of 60 minutes or more, while the short film category is the 'Korean Short Competition' for domestic works under 60 minutes.
The prize money for the International Feature Competition includes 20 million KRW for the Grand Jury Prize and 1 million KRW for the Jury Prize. For the Korean Short Competition, the Grand Jury Prize is 10 million KRW, and two Jury Prizes of 5 million KRW each.
The selected works for the competition will be decided by the program selection committee and announced on the official website in April.
This year, the PyeongChang International Peace Film Festival is scheduled to be held in June in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province.
