According to TMON on the 10th, CEO Jang Yoon-seok said at a town hall meeting, "By implementing company-wide Remote & Smart Work, we will in the future commute to a metaverse office without physical space constraints," adding, "To survive in the rapidly changing e-commerce environment, we must completely reinvent our work culture."
CEO Jang explained, "To achieve the e-commerce 3.0 vision that TMON pursues, it is necessary to discard the old TMON and break out of its shell with innovation." He emphasized that as the commerce environment rapidly changes due to COVID-19 and non-face-to-face work becomes common, a new corporate culture innovation is needed where all employees can creatively and proactively make decisions and maximize performance for customers and partners.
TMON plans to switch to Remote & Smart Work as soon as possible. First, it will establish base offices outside the current Daechi-dong headquarters, and prepare to transform the current work-from-home system, which is being implemented for quarantine purposes, into a new form. The company also plans to actively introduce a metaverse-style virtual office that supports maximizing efficiency and productivity.
CEO Jang said, "You can work from Jeju Island, Changwon, Busan, or even Thailand. The place of work does not matter. As we gain spatial freedom, work will be performance-oriented," and urged, "Abandon the outdated industrial-era work methods and pursue efficiency by utilizing evolved communication technologies."
Since CEO Jang's appointment last year, new attempts for innovation at TMON have also shown results. The Hanwoo (Korean beef) product jointly planned with YouTuber 'Jeongyukwang' through the 'With TMON' project surpassed 300 million KRW in daily sales on the first day, selling out the prepared stock. 90% of the purchasing customers were new customers. TMON's self-produced web entertainment 'Advertising Genius Syndrome' also recorded over 1 million cumulative views and achieved over 500 million KRW in sales per episode.
