133 New COVID-19 Cases in Gwangju 'Highest Ever'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Triple-digit confirmed cases have been reported in the Gwangju area.
According to Gwangju City on the 10th, a total of 133 new infections were reported in one day, including 131 local transmissions and 2 imported cases. This is the highest number since January 26 last year, when 112 cases were confirmed.
By infection route, the most notable was 22 cases related to a nursing hospital in Dong-gu under cohort isolation. Among them, 21 are nursing hospital staff and the remaining 1 is known to be a patient guardian. The cumulative number of infections so far is 69.
There were 19 cases related to five elementary schools in Seo-gu and Nam-gu, and 1 case related to a kindergarten in Gwangsan-gu.
There were 23 cases related to previously confirmed patients and other cities such as Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and 32 cases are still under investigation for infection routes.
