Gyeongnam Masan Jihaeui Bada Library Awarded 'Korean Cultural Space Award'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 7th that Masan Jihyeui Bada Library received the 7th Korean Cultural Space Award hosted by the Korean Cultural Space Architecture Society.
This award is given by the society to architectural works in six fields including libraries, museums, and art galleries that provide a vision for space.
Masan Jihyeui Bada was recognized for presenting a new paradigm through diverse spatial arrangements, moving beyond the traditional library functions of data storage and reading.
The library transformed a closed school facility into a complex reading and cultural space where reading, culture, and arts coexist, and it opened in 2018.
