View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] S-Oil will provide condolence money of 30 million KRW each to the families of the late Fire Lieutenant Lee Hyungseok, Fire Sergeant Park Sudong, and Fire Corporal Jo Woochan of the Songtan Fire Station in Gyeonggi Province, who died in the line of duty while extinguishing a fire at a new frozen warehouse construction site in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi.
On the 7th, an S-Oil official stated, "We pray for the repose of the firefighters who sacrificed their lives for the safety and lives of the people and suffered an unfortunate accident. We hope this small support will help the bereaved families overcome their grief and live stably."
The fire that broke out at the frozen warehouse construction site in Cheongbuk-eup, Pyeongtaek, around 11:46 p.m. on the 5th was fully extinguished at 7:19 p.m. on the 6th, after about 19 hours. During this process, three firefighters involved in the extinguishing operation tragically lost their lives.
