91 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gwangju... Chain Infection Centered on Children and Students
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Ninety-one new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the Gwangju area.
Gwangju City announced on the 6th that these cases, which occurred in one day, were classified as numbers 8423 to 8613.
Regarding the newly occurring cluster infection routes, 13 cases related to an elementary school located in Nam-gu (3) bring the cumulative total to 20.
At a daycare center in Nam-gu (4), 10 people were infected, including 7 children, 2 teachers, and 1 family member, with a cumulative total of 12 cases.
Related to a kindergarten in Buk-gu (1), 12 additional cases were reported, increasing the total to 20.
Additionally, 2 cases were reported related to an elementary school in Gwangsan-gu (3), and 1 case at another elementary school (2) in the same district.
Furthermore, 1 case each was reported related to B Elementary School in Nam-gu and an elementary school in Seo-gu (2).
Five cases are related to other cities and provinces such as Seoul, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk.
