[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 6th that the technology campaign video "Dear My Hero," which depicts the process of improving the lives of our neighbors through hydrogen cleaning trucks, surpassed 10 million views within a week of its release.
"Dear My Hero" was first released on the Hyundai Motor Group's Korean and English YouTube channels on the 30th of last month.
The video shows the hardships faced by sanitation workers, the heroes who maintain clean cities, while working with conventional internal combustion engine cleaning trucks, and then conveys a message about the socially positive use of hydrogen commercial mobility through the process of helping our neighbors' lives.
As of 8 a.m. on January 6, one week after its release, the Hyundai Motor Group YouTube channel recorded 11.59 million views (7.43 million in Korean / 4.16 million in English), along with over 5,100 likes and 1,200 positive comments, showing a favorable response to the video.
On Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms, the video accumulated a total of 6.17 million views, about 90,000 likes, approximately 500 comments, and more than 1,400 shares.
Hyundai Motor explained that the reason "Dear My Hero" was able to achieve such a high number of views in a short period was because it delivered a sincere message showing the hardships of sanitation workers and how the lives of our neighbors are improved by hydrogen cleaning trucks, which resonated strongly with consumers.
In particular, the campaign received high responses from the 2030 generation, born from the early 1980s to the early 2000s, who lead ethical consumption by considering environmental and social impacts when purchasing products, showing strong interest in the positive use of technology.
