The signing ceremony took place on the 5th at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office, attended by Kim Choong-beom, Director of the Agricultural Policy and Marine Affairs Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, and Park Sung-hoo, Vice President of Pulmuone Foodmorse, among other officials.
This agreement was made based on a shared understanding to meet consumer demand by expanding the use of excellent agricultural and food products amid growing interest in high-quality and safe food. Pulmuone Foodmorse and Gyeonggi Province agreed to cooperate to raise awareness of Gyeonggi’s excellent agricultural and food products and to expand their market channels and usage.
According to the agreement, Pulmuone Foodmorse and Gyeonggi Province plan to expand the use of Gyeonggi’s excellent agricultural and food products in meal service facilities such as daycare centers, kindergartens, schools, industrial sites, and welfare facilities where Pulmuone Foodmorse supplies ingredients.
Gyeonggi’s excellent agricultural and food products refer to those certified with the ‘G Mark’ under the Gyeonggi Province Excellent Food Certification Management Ordinance, or agricultural and food products produced within the province that have received national certification. The G Mark is a system where the Governor of Gyeonggi Province certifies excellent agricultural and specialty products produced in Gyeonggi and grants the right to use a unique brand.
Additionally, the agreement includes providing information on Gyeonggi’s excellent agricultural and food products and ensuring stable product supply; education and promotion for Pulmuone Foodmorse affiliates to expand the use of these products; and establishing smooth communication and cooperation systems through sharing cooperative matters with Gyeonggi’s cities and counties.
Through this agreement, Pulmuone Foodmorse plans to expand its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) value practice areas targeting a wide range of consumers from infants and children to adolescents, adults, and the elderly, who are its customer base. It aims to broaden market channels for excellent agricultural and food products, support coexistence with local farms, and promote the consumption of eco-friendly quality ingredients.
