Geochang-gun, 91.1% Third Dose Vaccination Rate for Elderly... Ranked 1st in the Province
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 4th that the third vaccine dose rate for seniors aged 60 and over reached 91.1%, higher than Gyeongnam Province's vaccination rate of 87.9%.
To increase the vaccination rate, the county supported mobile buses for seniors aged 75 and over who have mobility difficulties or live in transportation-vulnerable areas, and conducted visiting vaccinations in three myeon areas: Jusang, Wicheon, and Buksang.
In addition, for seniors aged 60 and over in myeon areas who have postponed vaccination appointments at local medical institutions for various reasons, visiting vaccinations were conducted at the myeon area health centers.
As the third vaccine dose rate among seniors aged 60 and over increases, the proportion of elderly infected patients decreases, and severe cases and deaths can be prevented, so emphasis was placed on the third dose vaccination.
The Geochang-gun Public Health Center has been offering same-day vaccinations without prior reservation since the 3rd for busy workers. Anyone who has passed 90 days after the second dose can get vaccinated by visiting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
