Woori Bank Supports 5,000 Meals for 123 Food-Insecure Families Through 'Warm Meal' Program
123rd Anniversary Celebration, Special Social Contribution Project Underway
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Woori Bank announced on the 4th that it will carry out a special social contribution project to provide meals to children suffering from food insecurity in celebration of its 123rd anniversary.
Through the domestic meal support project for food-insecure children, "Warm Meal," in collaboration with the Korea International Hunger Relief Organization, Woori Bank will provide over 5,000 meals to 123 food-insecure households.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Woori Bank converted its anniversary ceremony, which was previously held for employees and key customers, to a non-face-to-face format and decided to participate in a special social contribution to support children suffering from food insecurity as part of fulfilling its social responsibility in finance.
The meal plan is diversified into Korean, Chinese, and Western cuisines, considering the nutrition and taste preferences of growing children, and to minimize cooking risks, fully prepared meals will be delivered warm.
