Gyeonggi-do Selects 70 Resident Reporters... Applications Accepted Until the 19th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 70 Gyeonggi Province citizen reporters.
Gyeonggi Province announced that it will recruit the '2022 Gyeonggi Province Citizen Reporters' from the 4th to the 19th to vividly deliver news about Gyeonggi Province from the perspective of its residents.
The number of selected reporters is a total of 70, including 30 general reporters, 20 university student SNS (social networking service) supporters, and 20 youth reporters.
Those who wish to participate can fill out the application form and submit it via email by the 19th. Detailed eligibility and application methods can be found on the Gyeonggi Province website or the official provincial blog.
The selection results will be announced on the 26th through the official provincial blog. The reporters will cover major policies of Gyeonggi Province, cultural tourism resources, and participate in experiential activities.
The province will provide the reporters with press cards, reporter notebooks, and other reporting materials. A modest manuscript fee will also be supported for articles. In addition, outstanding reporters will be selected monthly to receive additional benefits, and at the end of the year, reporters chosen as 'Best Citizen Reporters' will be awarded a certificate from the governor.
Park Yeon-kyung, head of the Public Relations Media Division of the province, explained, "This year, we plan to actively select out-of-school youth and seniors aged 60 and over to expand opportunities for social participation and publish articles containing diverse voices."
