Mokpo National Maritime University Opens the Year of the Black Tiger 2022 with Vigor

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Han Won-hee) vigorously opened the new year of the Year of the Tiger through the 2022 opening ceremony held at 11 a.m. on the 3rd in the small auditorium on the first floor of the Institute of Engineering Building.
The opening ceremony was held with a minimum number of attendees while complying with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines.
The ceremony included the presentation of the Minister of Education Award, awards to 17 outstanding faculty and long-term service staff, and a New Year's address by President Han Won-hee.
In particular, awards were also presented to seven individuals from related organizations, including Seo Dong-hyun, an official at the Mokpo Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office, Choi Sung, CEO of Daesin ICT Co., Ltd., and Kim Jae-hwan, CEO of Dream Naru Co., Ltd.

President Han Won-hee said at the ceremony, “I sincerely thank all members, including faculty and students, parents, and alumni, who have worked hard for the development of the university despite many difficulties such as COVID-19 and external conditions last year,” and added, “Although it is a difficult time with structural reforms and enrollment reductions, I ask all members to strive to make 2022 the first year of 'a maritime future talent university with the highest sustainable value.'”
