Yuhan Corporation "Challenging to Enter Global Top 50 Pharma through 'Passion, Challenge, and Creation'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Yuhan Corporation emphasized its goal to grow into a 'global company' this year through differentiated new drug development and expansion of new businesses.
On the 3rd, Yuhan Corporation President Jo Wook-je stressed this to employees during the '2022 Opening Ceremony,' stating, "we have set 'Passion, Challenge, Creation' as this year's management indicators."
In his New Year's address, President Jo explained the previous year's management achievements, saying, "Despite the COVID-19 pandemic throughout last year, we continuously pursued vigorous challenges to leap forward as a global company by developing innovative new drugs, strengthening new businesses, making strategic investments, and expanding our global network."
President Jo said, "Under the management slogan 'One team, One goal,' we must wisely overcome the current situation based on positive, creative, and passionate thinking to enter the global top 50 pharmaceutical companies," adding, "Although we expect various difficulties this year as well, I sincerely hope that all employees unite their strength to turn crises into opportunities, like the saying 'Jungryeok Isan (衆力移山),' meaning 'many hands move mountains.'"

Meanwhile, Yuhan Corporation made some changes to its regular executive appointments and organizational structure. In particular, to expand ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, an ESG Management Office was newly established and placed directly under the president. The newly promoted and appointed executives include Executive Director Jeong Dong-gyun and Managing Directors Lee Byung-cheol, Kim Jae-yong, Gong Byung-jun, and Kim Jun-hwan.
