The Warm Winter for Children and Adolescents is a social contribution project by Woori Financial to support children and adolescents through the National Association of Regional Children's Centers, aimed at helping those facing difficulties due to prolonged COVID-19, which has worsened household finances and care gaps.
This support fund will be distributed to about 60 regional children's centers nationwide and approximately 400 children and adolescents. It will be used for heating expenses such as boiler repairs, purchase of heating fuel, city gas, and electric heating, as well as for purchasing winter supplies like heaters, electric and hot water mats, and winter clothing.
Son Tae-seung, Chairman of Woori Financial, said, "It is heartbreaking that many children, adolescents, and regional children's centers are struggling to get through the cold winter due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "I hope this support fund helps children and adolescents spend the winter a little warmer and safer."
