E1 Reaches 27 Consecutive Years of Wage Negotiation Without Disputes
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Energy company E1's labor and management have reached a wage agreement this year without separate negotiations.
E1 announced on the 3rd that the labor union entrusted all matters related to the 2022 wages to the company, achieving 27 consecutive years of wage negotiation settlements without negotiations since 1996.
The company explained that this achievement was possible thanks to the continuous communication and strong trust built among all employees, including Chairman Gu Ja-yong.
Chairman Gu regularly holds meetings with employees and conducts quarterly online management status briefings to share the company's situation.
Labor union chairman Park Seung-gyu said, "Amid COVID-19 and an uncertain business environment, we decided to entrust the company so that it could focus solely on business operations."
