Democratic Party Gwangju-Jeonnam Provincial Party and Justice Party Leadership Pay New Year's Visit to 5·18 Cemetery
Visits Continue to 5·18 Cemetery in the New Year of the Year of the Tiger
On the morning of the 3rd, members of the National Assembly and party officials belonging to the Democratic Party of Korea's Gwangju City Party gathered in front of the Gate of Democracy at the National 5·18 Democratic Cemetery in Unjeong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, to pledge their determination for victory in the general election.

At the May 18th Democratic Cemetery visit, Song Gap-seok, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea Gwangju Metropolitan City Party, seven co-chairs of the Gwangju joint election committee, six members of the National Assembly, and about 20 other party officials participated. The ceremony proceeded in the order of flower offering, incense burning, salute, and silent prayer at the May 18th People's Uprising Memorial Tower.
Before the visit, Chairman Song wrote in the guestbook, "With the spirit of May, we will surely achieve the 4th Democratic Government."
He then visited the 2nd burial area and the May 18th old cemetery to pay respects at the graves of May 18th merit recipients and national and democratic martyrs.
Song Gap-seok, chairman of the Gwangju City Party, said, "With the spirit of May, we will surely realize the 4th democratic spirit," adding, "Regarding the presidential election, as candidate Lee Jae-myung mentioned previously in Gwangju, Honam is the disciplinary rod and whip of the Democratic Party."
He continued, "It has been the heart of the Democratic Party and has played a leading role in guiding democracy in the Republic of Korea," adding, "I believe Honam will play such a role again in this presidential election."
On the same day, the Jeonnam Provincial Party of the Democratic Party also visited the May 18th Democratic Cemetery with party leadership to honor the spirits of May.
Kim Seung-nam, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea Jeonnam Provincial Party, vowed, "We will create a happy Korea for all citizens through victory in the 2022 presidential election," reaffirming determination for victory in the general election.

Before the visit, Chairwoman Kang wrote in the guestbook, "Inheriting the spirit of May, we will bring hope to the people through victory in the 2022 presidential election," and then continued the memorial ceremony at the Memorial Tower.
