Expansion of Eligibility for 'Senior Hairdressing and Beauty Expenses' Support in Gochang-gun

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeonbuk Gochang-gun (Governor Yu Gisang) announced on the 3rd that this year, the eligibility for the senior hairdressing and beauty expense support project will be expanded from seniors aged 80 and over to those aged 75 and over.

This project is a pledge project of the 7th local government administration and has been promoted since 2019 to provide seniors aged 80 and over residing in the county with opportunities to maintain dignity and restore self-esteem, enabling them to lead a lively and healthy old age.

The senior hairdressing and beauty expense is provided once a year in the form of 60,000 KRW worth of Gochang Love Gift Certificates (exclusive for senior hairdressing and beauty) at the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers, which can be used at hairdressing and beauty shops within the county.

Through the expansion of the support target this year, the county expects to provide hairdressing and beauty expenses to 12,000 seniors, an increase of 5,200 people.

Governor Yu Gisang said, “I am pleased that more seniors can receive support for hairdressing and beauty expenses through the revision of the ordinance,” and added, “We will continue to spare no support so that seniors can live a clean and healthy life.”
