Professor Park Won-gyu was elected as the president for a one-year term at the regular general meeting of the Korean Society of Fisheries Science held at BEXCO in Busan.
Professor Park previously served as the vice-chairman of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), was the head of the International Fisheries Science Cooperation Program at Pukyong National University, and director of the Polar Resources Research Institute.
