Incheon Coast Guard Rescues 4 Stranded Outing Visitors on Coast
The Coast Guard is rescuing visitors stranded on the rocky shore of Boleumdo, Incheon.

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Four visitors were stranded on the coast of Incheon during the first weekend of the new year and were rescued by the Coast Guard.
According to the Incheon Coast Guard on the 2nd, at around 2:12 PM the previous day, two people including a woman in her 60s, Ms. A, were stranded near the coast of Boleumdo, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon.
Upon receiving the report, the Coast Guard deployed an air-cushion vehicle and a rubber boat to rescue them.
It is known that Ms. A and the other person got stranded on coastal rocks after taking a wrong path while hiking with acquaintances.
Also, at 3:27 PM on the same day, two people including a woman in her 50s, Ms. B, were stranded on the rocky shore near Daemuiddo, Jung-gu, Incheon, and were rescued by the Coast Guard.
They were found to be in danger after entering the rocky shore without accurately knowing the tide times.

An official from the Incheon Coast Guard stated, "The tidal range in the West Sea is very large, so it is essential to check the tide times in advance when entering rocky shores or mudflats," adding, "To prevent stranded accidents, patrol teams from guard ships and police substations are strengthening preventive activities in vulnerable areas."
