On the morning of the 30th, at a press conference held at the Daegu City Party Office of the People Power Party, Candidate Yoon said, "Former President Park is still hospitalized and not in good health, so I hope for her speedy recovery."
He continued, "I want to visit her, but if former President Park is concerned about other political issues, her recovery might be delayed, so I am not attempting to visit her." When asked if he had any requests for former President Park, he replied, "I will say what I need to when I see her, depending on the situation."
He also insisted that "former President Lee Myung-bak should be released soon."
Candidate Yoon stated, "I believe that detaining someone who once received significant public support and held important responsibilities for a long time is not appropriate for politics aimed at national unity and the future."
