The court stated the sentencing reasons, saying, "Considering the total damage amounting to about 23 million won, the fact that the victim did not forgive him, and taking into account his age and family environment."
A began stealing wireless earphones worth about 150,000 won on April 5 while working as a sorting part-timer at a courier collection center in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and stole items worth about 1.1 million won in three incidents until April 22.
Afterward, A's crimes became increasingly bold. From the 25th of the same month, he secretly entered the collection center every night and tampered with courier items.
