Dongshin University Begins Regular Admission Application for Groups A and D on the 30th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Dongshin University announced on the 29th that it will accept applications for the 2022 academic year regular admission categories Ga and Da from the 30th until 6 PM on January 3, 2022.
In category Ga, 20 students will be admitted to the Department of Korean Medicine and 6 students to the Department of Nursing based 100% on CSAT scores.
In category Da (general admission within the quota), a total of 567 students will be selected based on 80% CSAT scores and 20% school records.
The CSAT score weighting is 25% Korean, 25% Mathematics, 20% English, 20% Inquiry area (top 1 subject), and 10% Korean History. Students who took Calculus or Geometry among the Mathematics elective subjects will receive an additional 5% bonus on their percentile scores.
Applicants can apply up to twice across different admission types but cannot apply multiple times within the same admission type. Cross-application between humanities/sciences and arts/physical education is allowed, and successful candidates will be announced before January 19.
All first successful applicants in the regular admission general departments (excluding Korean Medicine, Nursing, and Physical Therapy) will receive a full tuition scholarship as an outstanding talent scholarship. Among the total 39 departments, 36 departments and faculties’ first successful applicants will have their first semester tuition waived.
First successful applicants to the Department of Nursing and the Department of Physical Therapy will receive an admission scholarship of 1 million KRW. Admission scholarships of 1 million KRW will also be given to successful candidates admitted through the regular admission general department waitlist.
General department CSAT excellence scholarships and school record excellence scholarships have also been established to secure outstanding talent.
Students with an average grade of 3.75 or better across four CSAT subjects (Korean, Mathematics, English, and Inquiry [average of 2 subjects]) will receive a full tuition waiver for 4 years (8 semesters).

For the medical and health fields, the Department of Nursing offers scholarships up to a CSAT average grade of 4, and the Department of Physical Therapy up to 4.75. The top student in each college will receive a full tuition waiver for one year.
