Mando-Halla University Sign Industry-Academic Cooperation MOU for 'Software Track'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Mando and HL Clemoove announced on the 29th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for industry-academia cooperation to nurture automotive software development talent with Halla University in Wonju at the Pangyo R&D Center in Gyeonggi on the 24th.
Previously, Mando and Halla University jointly opened the Smart Mobility Research Center at Mando's Pangyo R&D Center in 2019, and in March of this year, they signed an MOU for mutual cooperation to establish an AI-based Smart Mobility Education Platform (aMAP).
According to this agreement, Halla University will establish a new 'Software Track' major in the Department of Smart Mobility Engineering starting next academic year, recruiting outstanding students in advanced automotive technology fields such as IT and mobility, and providing specialized programs focused on technology development.
In particular, the Software Track will be directly managed by Mando's Software Campus. Mando and HL Clemoove will support scholarships, advanced research equipment, dedicated laboratories, and R&D funding, as well as promote regular technical exchanges between active engineers and academic departments.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the award ceremony for the 2021 Jaul Driving Competition, co-hosted by Mando and Halla University, was held. A total of 443 participants from 38 high school teams and 97 university teams competed, with the grand prize awarded to Gyeonggi Buk Science High School (Park Min-gyu), Kyungpook National University (Heo Jae-min, Kim Jae-gyun), Ajou University (Go Se-ram), and Kookmin University (Kim Ha-eun).
