[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] Next year's civil servant salaries will increase by 1.4% compared to this year. The president's annual salary has been set at 240,648,000 KRW, and the Prime Minister's at 186,562,000 KRW. However, the president and the Prime Minister have decided to forgo the 1.4% salary increase.
The Ministry of Personnel Management announced that the amendments to the "Civil Servant Salary Regulations" and the "Regulations on Civil Servant Allowances," which include improvements to the treatment and allowance system for civil servants in 2022, were approved at the Cabinet meeting on the 28th.
