On the 26th, Attorney Kwon wrote on her Facebook, "She must have gone through extreme emotional distress and fear, but she did well."
She added, "The opposing camp will continue to mock as they have been. That is something to be silently endured. An apology is meaningful to those who wanted an apology and have the magnanimity to accept it."
Through comments on this post, Attorney Kwon explained, "Although Germany has a parliamentary system, Chancellor Merkel and her husband lived in a private residence rather than the Chancellor's official residence, and Merkel commuted to work. Chancellor Merkel's husband was able to maintain his career strictly in the private sphere because he was a physicist and researcher."
She continued, "For Kim, as the wife of the most influential person in the country, to continue her life as an exhibition planner is to invite all sorts of suspicions of special favors and controversies."
Earlier, Kim held a press conference at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "I stand here with a fearful and apologetic heart. I should have spoken earlier, but I am sorry for the delay. There were mistakes on my part during the process of balancing work and studies. I exaggerated my credentials and made errors in writing them."
