Lee appeared on the 'Reporter Joo Goes' segment of Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea Season 2,' released on the 25th, saying, "Helping with someone else's election is something I have to do as party leader, but I would rather have my own election. I hope to become at least a member of the National Assembly, if not president."
When the host asked about his recent situation, Lee said, "I've been having a hard time lately," adding, "During the presidential election, I was not a candidate but supported another candidate as the head of the campaign committee, which is not easy. The candidate is the overall person in charge, so sometimes they don't listen to me, and there are times I worry because of the candidate. But since it becomes part of my experience, I am doing it." This broadcast was filmed before Lee resigned from his position as the party's standing election campaign committee chairman.
The host then asked Lee, "You once disappeared due to conflicts with candidate Yoon Seok-yeol over differences in opinion. How do you handle fights with your partner?" and offered four options: 'escape, going underwater, going incognito, disappearance'. Lee did not choose from the options but answered "5. silent meditation" and added, "It's not quite disappearance, but I sulk and stay away." If he had to choose one, he said it would be 'going underwater.'
When asked, "Between former presidents Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak, with whom would you like to spend Christmas?" Lee replied, "First, I should spend it with my girlfriend, but asking such a difficult question..." trailing off, then said, "Of course, if possible, I should spend it with former President Park who recruited me."
Regarding the question, "If you have a message for the 386 generation," Lee said, "Please stop trying to teach us," adding, "'Back in my day' stories are all different from the perspective of 'back in my day.' Don't look at things from your perspective."
