SBS's Good Friends is a variety program co-produced by Korea and Indonesia, featuring popular Indonesian celebrities and special appearances by K-POP stars in each episode.
Good Friends 2 Gyeongbuk Special aired on the local terrestrial channel NET TV for two weeks starting from the 27th of last month, gaining popularity on NET TV, YouTube, and the cast's SNS, surpassing 9 million views.
The cast included Dita, the first Indonesian member of the K-POP girl group Secret Number; national actor Yuki; Rafael, a representative of the original boy groups; and Amel and Dito, who are active as singers, actors, and models.
Jang Hansol, a YouTuber with 4.79 million subscribers, appeared as a fixed cast member, while K-POP super rookie idols Mirae Boys and KNK made special appearances, captivating the audience together with the cast.
In the special episode, Yeongju City showcased the abundant food and atmosphere of rural villages, Andong City featured unique traditional experiences, and Gyeongju City presented nostalgic school trips and the latest trendy hanbok tours, encompassing both the past and present of Gyeongbuk and providing enjoyable content.
The Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation collaborated with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Jakarta office to maximize the promotional effect of tourism in the province by holding SNS events targeting local Indonesians during the program's airing period.
They produced online content introducing Gyeongbuk tourist attractions in the local language, receiving great responses from locals.
