"Uncle Fully Vaccinated with AZ 1st and 2nd Doses... Heart Attack After One Day of Moderna Booster Shot"
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A story has emerged about an uncle who, after receiving the Moderna booster shot following two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, suffered a heart attack within a day and passed away six days later.
On the 20th, a petition titled "My uncle passed away less than a day after receiving the 3rd COVID vaccine dose" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board. According to petitioner A, his uncle received the Moderna booster shot around 3 p.m. on December 13 and showed symptoms of a heart attack around 11 a.m. the next day, December 14.
Emergency services were called immediately, and he was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, but the hospital reported that he was in a vegetative state. Subsequently, A’s uncle passed away around 4 a.m. on December 18, six days after receiving the Moderna shot.
A stated, "My uncle’s health was already poor due to long-term alcohol treatment," but added, "There were no issues after the first and second doses of AstraZeneca (AZ). I cannot understand why this happened after the third dose."
Additionally, A claimed that proper follow-up procedures, including causality investigations, have not been conducted after his uncle’s death. He said, "The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) does not answer calls, and when I inquired at the local health center, they said that a doctor's opinion is required for a prompt epidemiological investigation, and if an individual reports it, it takes a long time," expressing, "There is no way to resolve this unjust death."
He continued, "The hospital said, 'It is difficult to conclude that the heart attack was caused by the COVID vaccine,' and 'It is hard to make a hasty decision,'” he revealed.

He added, "I have not even been able to inform my grandmother, who is still in a nursing home, about the death," and requested, "I ask that the causes of sudden and unclear deaths after vaccination, including my uncle’s, be thoroughly investigated."
