Opening of SongpaSsam Head Center... Overseeing 'SongpaSsam' Educational Infrastructure
The Control Tower of Songpa-gu's Own Education Platform 'SongpaSsaem'...Providing Learning Opportunities to All Residents Who Want to Learn
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) opened the 'Songpa SSEM Head Center,' which oversees the Songpa SSEM educational infrastructure, on the 17th.
Mayor Park Seong-su of Songpa-gu established an independent educational platform called 'Songpa SSEM (Songpa Smart Education Model)' to ensure that all residents who wish to learn have access to diverse learning opportunities.
The newly opened 'Songpa SSEM Head Center' is a flagship center overseeing the Songpa SSEM educational infrastructure, including a total of 14 future education centers, two of which are scheduled to open in the first half of next year, as well as the Instrument Library and the Person Library. It serves as a hub and control tower where policy establishment, education, and content development for Songpa SSEM educational projects are conducted in one place.
Located on the 3rd floor of the KT Songpa Tower Office Building, it spans 1,064㎡ and is divided into four main sections: the Songpa SSEM Future Education Head Center (12 rooms), the Person Library Lounge, the Media Center, and the Conference Room.
The Songpa SSEM Future Education Head Center (12 rooms) consists of three classrooms: the Maker Room, AI Room, and Graphic Room. Educational programs such as Songpa SSEM AI coding, metaverse, webtoon production, maker classes, autonomous driving coding, carbon neutrality projects practiced through software, and media content production are conducted here.
The Person Library Lounge provides various information and books related to person libraries and serves as a space for researching and developing educational content through exchanges and seminars among person libraries.
The Media Center is equipped with broadcasting facilities and equipment to produce various non-face-to-face online content, which has become increasingly important due to COVID-19, enabling the production of high-quality educational content. This content will be provided through the Songpa SSEM education portal and YouTube channel.
Additionally, a Media School is operated for youth and young adults to experience media shooting and production techniques. The studio is actively opened not only to person libraries and experts but also to general residents, producing Songpa's TED-version videos that freely share experiences and knowledge across various fields.
Furthermore, the multipurpose conference room, which can accommodate up to 100 people and is equipped with a large LED display, will be used as a venue for various educational activities such as person library special lectures, entrance exam briefings, musical instrument performances, and education fairs.
