Chamber Orchestra 'Kumho Soloists' Christmas Special Concert on 23rd-24th
The chamber orchestra Kumho Soloists will hold a Christmas special concert under the theme "DREAM & FANTASY" at Kumho Art Hall on the 23rd and 24th of this month.
On the 23rd, the "DREAM" performance will feature Schubert's Piano Trio in B-flat major and Tchaikovsky's String Sextet "Souvenir de Florence" in D major. On the 24th, the "FANTASY" performance will present Haydn's Trio for Two Violins and Cello in B-flat major, known for its fantastic harmonic color, Schumann's Four Fantasy Pieces in A minor, and Korngold's Piano Quintet in E major.
In particular, Korngold's Piano Quintet in E major is a piece that stands out with its captivating musical ideas, unfolding a romantic atmosphere and beauty over a positive and lively mood. Violinists Kim Dami, Jang Yujin, Song Jiwon, Park Gyumin, violists Lee Hanna, Shin Kyungsik, cellists Kim Minji, Lee Jeongran, Chae Hunsun, Lee Kyungjun, and pianist Kim Dasol will perform, with different performers appearing on each day.
Kumho Soloists is a chamber orchestra formed in October 2007, composed of young masters in the Korean classical music scene who have grown alongside Kumho Cultural Foundation's diverse musician support programs. Since its founding, it has been delivering distinguished performances with excellent interpretation and musicianship of chamber music annually at Kumho Art Hall as its main stage, performing an extensive repertoire of over 90 pieces and receiving acclaim for its new and original programs and outstanding interpretative skills.

Each member is a prizewinner of major international competitions and recognized worldwide as soloists through active activities. Currently, young masters such as violinists Kim Dami, Yang Inmo, Lee Ji-hye, Jang Yujin; violist Lee Hanna; cellists Kim Minji, Lee Jeongran; flutist Jo Sunghyun; clarinetist Kim Han; pianists Kim Dasol, Park Jonghae, and others are active as members of Kumho Soloists.
