City Labs appoints Mamamoo's Hwasa as TaegoM advertising model... "Pre-registration starts this month"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] City Labs, a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 13th that it has selected Hwasa, a member of the group Mamamoo, as the advertising model for its new game business debut title, "TaegoM." The company plans to schedule pre-registrations within this month. Leveraging the model adoption as a stepping stone, the strategy is to focus all efforts on comprehensive marketing.
Last month, City Labs signed a publishing contract with Gaia Mobile Korea for the exclusive domestic service of the traditional MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) "TaegoM." Developed last year by China's Gaia Mobile, "TaegoM" ranked within the top 5 in all countries it entered, starting with Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, followed by China, Thailand, and Vietnam. In the world's largest market, China, it achieved notable success, ranking 1st in free games, action, and MMO categories on iOS, and 10th in revenue on Android.
The company stated that since "TaegoM" is designed and produced with rich content such as story, raids, and PVP to suit the preferences of domestic game users, it is focusing on final optimization work and plans to begin full-scale pre-registrations within this month.
