"Responding with Gratitude for Parking Lot Opening"... Jongno-gu Installs Sharing Parking Lot Sign at Naksan Church
Previously signed an open agreement and operates part of the affiliated parking lot as all-day open in the form of resident-priority parking system
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jongno-gu has produced, delivered, and installed a "Grateful Sharing Parking Lot" sign to express gratitude to Naksan Church (Senior Pastor Lee Seong-ho), which opened its church-affiliated parking lot (Changsin 12-gil 27-7) to alleviate parking difficulties.
Previously, an opening agreement was made to open part of Naksan Church's affiliated parking lot for full-day use, and it is currently operated in the form of resident-priority parking. The parking fee is 30,000 KRW per month. Considering that off-street resident-priority parking lots cost 60,000 KRW per month, this affordable fee enhances convenience for nearby residents and helps resolve parking issues, making this opening very welcome news.
Accordingly, the district decided to produce the "Grateful Sharing Parking Lot" sign, maintaining the Seoul city standard design (basic original plan) but adjusting the design to fit Jongno's unique characteristics. The basic plate shape was changed using the Jongno-gu CI (Jong) motif, with adjustments to logo size and position, and changes to the title font.
The completed "Grateful Sharing Parking Lot" sign is now attached at the entrance of the church parking lot. It is expected to widely publicize the opening of the affiliated parking lot and foster a positive perception among nearby residents.
Since introducing the Sharing Parking System in 2012 and starting by opening a total of 70 parking spaces at Korea National Open University, Jongno-gu has been steadily promoting parking lot sharing projects in cooperation with public institutions, schools, and religious facilities in the area to alleviate local parking difficulties.
Institutions or building owners wishing to join in efforts to resolve local parking difficulties can open some of their parking spaces and receive support for facility improvement costs.
The opened parking spaces are operated under the resident-priority parking system, and fees belong to the opening institution's income. Additionally, opening affiliated parking lots can enhance the image within the local community and directly or indirectly promote the opened buildings.
