On the 7th, Hong posted on his Facebook, "Isn't this exactly what 'blaming the victim' means?" and urged, "If the ruling party demands an investigation into the Busan Savings Bank's inadequate probe, accept it, and agree to the special prosecution even today."
He continued, "The Daejang-dong corruption is not a political dispute but a collusion of corrupt cartels in Korean society that enrages the public," and criticized, "Where has the party leadership, who have been obsessed with Daejang-dong until now, gone?" He added, "I really don't understand why we hesitate when the thief brazenly brandishes a club."
Earlier, on the 6th, candidate Lee said on MBC's 'News Outside' regarding the Daejang-dong allegations, "I am not guilty," and added, "Because the prosecution has not properly investigated from start to finish without any sacred ground, I hope Yoon and I can sign an agreement to push for a special prosecution."
He claimed, "The Daejang-dong case is about Hwacheon Daeyu's corruption," and explained, "Looking at the process, Hwacheon Daeyu borrowed money from Busan Savings Bank to buy land and committed corruption. These people survived and lobbied the People Power Party to make LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) give up."

He further stated, "I want to prove my innocence through a special prosecution," and criticized, "When I suggested to candidate Yoon to have a special prosecution, Yoon's side said to exclude the loan corruption related to the savings bank involving himself. The entire case should be subject to special prosecution, not just the parts unfavorable to him."
